Here follows a great article, by Remus Stana – a very talented young undergraduate mathematician from the University of Glasgow. The article could not be included into our September 2012 edition due to formatting and design-related technical difficulties but we are, nevertheless, very glad that we have the opportunity to still share it with our readers through our website.
Tag clouds are a visualisation technique that recently became very popular for representing a piece of textual information as a fancy graphic, containing the set of words that appear in it, each scaled in proportion to its frequency of occurrence within that particular text.
